When a switch or socket position is no longer needed, the BG Nexus 894-01 blanking plate closes off the back box neatly while keeping any connections inside accessible for inspection. It is also used to cover boxes left for future use in new builds and extensions.
The 86 x 86mm plate fixes to a standard single box at 60.3mm centres and has the same white moulded, round edge finish as other 800 Series plates, so it does not stand out on the wall. Any live conductors left in the box must be safely terminated, for example with suitable connectors, before the plate is fitted. For twin boxes, use the 895-01.
