What cooling system is right for my room?
Ceiling fans: They can be mounted directly onto the ceiling or at a distance, making them perfect for all types of rooms including conservatories. They don’t actively cool their air like air conditioning, but they help circulate the air instead making the room feel cooler. They’re much more cost-effective than air conditioning and they don’t exude as much heat. You can even get ceiling fans with lights so you can keep cool day and night. You can even adjust the direction of the fan so it blows down cool air in the summer and the other way in the winter to help circulate warm air.
Extractor Fans: These fans draw heat, smoke, steam, and smells from kitchens and bathrooms. Kitchen extractor fans ensure that other rooms’ soft furnishings and carpets are protected from in-grained smells that can be difficult to remove. Bathroom extractor fans draw out excessive steam that can cause condensation and damp which can lead to mould spots and mildew.
Air Conditioning: Air con for short, units come in varying sizes and power that depend on the size of the room that needs cooling. Air conditioning works by extracting heat and moisture from a room and moving it outside. They work a bit like a fridge by using chemicals that convert from gas to liquid and back again fast. They are the most effective way to keep rooms cool no matter what size.
