The BG Nexus 850-01 is a 13A switched fused connection unit, often called a switched spur, with double pole switching. It feeds a fixed appliance from a ring or radial circuit through a fuse sized for that appliance, and the switch breaks both live and neutral for local isolation.
It has no flex outlet or indicator, and needs a 35mm deep single back box at 60.3mm centres. Twin earth terminals, angled colour coded terminals and screw caps are fitted, and the anti-microbial front plate is IP20 rated. Where no switch is wanted, the unswitched 854-01 is the alternative.
