Some appliances should never be switched off at the wall, and the BG Nexus 854-01 unswitched fused connection unit is designed for them. It provides a 13A fused supply from a ring or radial circuit with no switch on the plate, so alarm panels, fridge freezers and boilers with frost protection stay powered. Labelling these spurs makes the circuit easy to trace later.
Fit a fuse matched to the appliance, as with any spur. Made to BS 1363-4, it needs a 35mm deep single back box at 60.3mm fixing centres and is IP20 rated.
