The BG 971-0J is a 45A double pole cooker switch with a 13A socket alongside it on one twin plate. It isolates the cooker circuit and provides a worktop socket, in a simpler format without the LED indicator of the 970-0J.
Moulded in white thermoset urea, the plate has the flat, square edged profile of the 900 Series. Made to BS 4177, it fits a twin back box of 47mm minimum depth at 120.6mm fixing centres, with terminal capacity up to 16mm² for heavy cooker cable. Pair it with the 45A cooker outlet plate behind the appliance. Without an indicator the plate is plainer, which some kitchen designs prefer.
