The Fire Angel Thermoptek Battery Smoke Alarm is an optical smoke alarm that works using the light scatter principle of as smoke enters the optical chamber, its particales cause the infr-red light to be scattered onto a photodiode light receptor. Once light hits the receptor a signal is sent to the interfrated circuit causing an alarm to sound alerting occupants of recognisded fire.

The Fire Angel Thermoptek technology combines the lastest in optical sensing with a thermal enhancement making Thermoptek the smoke alarm technology of choice for the UK Fire & Rescure Services.
