The FireHawk Midi FHB155 is built for people who want reliable smoke detection without the annual ladder trip or the ceiling clutter. It's compact enough that you'll barely notice it protecting you, which makes it an easy fit for hallways, landings and living rooms where a full size alarm looks out of place.

The saving in maintenance is the real difference. With replaceable 5 year batteries, there's no yearly chirp at 3am and no temptation to pull the battery out "just for now", which is the single most common reason domestic alarms end up out of action.

Detection is handled by an optical sensor with TSE Technology (Thermal Stability Enhancement), which maintains stability across a range of environmental conditions, reducing nuisance alarms whilst enhancing detection. Where to Fit It

Bedrooms, hallways and landings, and living areas. Fit at least one alarm on every storey, ideally on the ceiling in the centre of circulation spaces. Avoid kitchens, bathrooms and garages, where an optical sensor is prone to nuisance triggers. A heat alarm is the correct choice in those rooms.

FHB150 or FHB155?

Both share the same compact body and detection technology. The FHB150 runs on replaceable 1 year batteries and suits budget led, high volume fits. The FHB155 costs a little more up front and repays it with five years of uninterrupted cover, making it the better option for properties you would rather not revisit.
