The FireHawk Midi FHB160 is the version most people are looking for when they start shopping for a smoke alarm. It runs on a sealed lithium battery pack designed to last the full ten year lifespan of the alarm, so there is no battery to change at any point during its working life. No annual chirp, no ladder, no drawer full of the wrong size cell.

It manages that without the bulk you might expect. The Midi housing is small enough that you will barely notice it protecting you, measuring just 62mm in diameter and 37mm deep and weighing only 46g, which makes it genuinely discreet in a hallway or on a bedroom ceiling where a full size alarm would be the first thing you see.

Detection quality is where the Midi earns its place rather than simply staying out of the way. TSE Technology (Thermal Stability Enhancement) provides stability across a range of environmental conditions, reducing nuisance alarms whilst enhancing detection. Where to Fit It

Bedrooms, hallways and landings, and living areas. Fit at least one alarm on every storey of the property, ideally ceiling mounted in the centre of the room or circulation space. Kitchens, bathrooms and garages are best served by a heat alarm, as steam, cooking fumes and dust will cause an optical sensor to trigger unnecessarily.
