Rated at 100A with 100mA sensitivity, the FuseBox RTA1001002S double pole Type A RCD disconnects line and neutral when a residual current fault is detected.
Type A detects AC and pulsating DC residual currents, the minimum type for most modern installations under BS 7671. The S type time delay allows downstream 30mA devices to operate first, giving discrimination when the RCD is used upfront or on a sub main. The 100mA sensitivity is intended for fault protection and fire risk duties rather than 30mA additional protection, often on TT supplies or upfront of a distribution board. RCDs give no overcurrent protection, so use them with suitably rated MCBs or upstream fuses.
