The FuseBox RTA1001004 is a 100A 100mA 4 pole Type A residual current device, used to protect a group of circuits or a dedicated supply against earth leakage.
Type A detects AC and pulsating DC residual currents, the minimum type for most modern installations under BS 7671. The 100mA sensitivity is intended for fault protection and fire risk duties rather than 30mA additional protection, often on TT supplies or upfront of a distribution board. RCDs give no overcurrent protection, so use them with suitably rated MCBs or upstream fuses.
