Surge protection comes pre wired in the FuseBox F3015MZ, a 15 way 100A main switch consumer unit in a 1mm steel enclosure to BS EN 61439-3.
A main switch board gives each circuit its own RCBO or AFDD, so a fault on one circuit does not take out the rest of the installation. The 18 module enclosure suits flats, small homes, extensions and outbuildings, and a tail clamp is supplied. Type 2 SPD protection helps the installation meet the BS 7671 requirement to consider protection against transient overvoltages.
