FuseBox 20A 30mA Type A B Curve 10kA Mini AFDD RCBO | MAFDD102030B

Protecting a 20A circuit against dangerous arcing as well as overloads, short circuits and earth leakage, the FuseBox MAFDD102030B is a 10kA B curve mini AFDD with switched neutral.

AFDDs detect series and parallel arc faults caused by damaged cables, loose terminations and deteriorated insulation, conditions that MCBs and RCDs alone cannot see. BS 7671 recommends AFDDs for final circuits supplying socket outlets up to 32A, and they are commonly specified in sleeping accommodation, HMOs and buildings of combustible construction. The MAFDD102030B fits all FuseBox consumer units and TPN boards and can replace a FuseBox RCBO where arc protection is needed. At 20A it is typically used on 20A radial socket circuits and dedicated appliance supplies. Final device selection should always follow the circuit design, cable size, installation method and fault level of the installation.
