Surge protection comes pre wired in the FuseBox F3021MZ, a 21 way 100A main switch consumer unit in a 1mm steel enclosure to BS EN 61439-3.
A main switch board gives each circuit its own RCBO or AFDD, so a fault on one circuit does not take out the rest of the installation. The 24 module enclosure suits larger homes, extensions and light commercial premises, and a tail clamp is supplied. Type 2 SPD protection helps the installation meet the BS 7671 requirement to consider protection against transient overvoltages.
