The FuseBox MAFDD063230B is a 32A mini arc fault detection device with integrated RCBO, giving arc fault, overload, short circuit and 30mA Type A earth leakage protection in one single module.

AFDDs detect series and parallel arc faults caused by damaged cables, loose terminations and deteriorated insulation, conditions that MCBs and RCDs alone cannot see. BS 7671 recommends AFDDs for final circuits supplying socket outlets up to 32A, and they are commonly specified in sleeping accommodation, HMOs and buildings of combustible construction. The MAFDD063230B fits all FuseBox consumer units and can replace a FuseBox RCBO where arc protection is needed. At 32A it is typically used on ring final circuits, 32A radials, cookers and EV charger supplies. Final device selection should always follow the circuit design, cable size, installation method and fault level of the installation.
