Designed as a dedicated supply for a 40A EV chargepoint, the FuseBox EV40ABDZ combines a 100A main switch with a 40A 30mA Type A bi-directional RCBO (1P+N switched) and Type 2 SPD in a powder coated steel enclosure.

A separate EV supply unit keeps the chargepoint circuit independent of the house consumer unit, which simplifies installation where the existing board has no spare ways or no suitable protection. The bi-directional RCBO accepts supply from either end, making the unit suitable for installations with solar PV, battery storage or vehicle to home charging. Type 2 surge protection helps protect the charger electronics from transient overvoltages. Always check the charger manufacturer's protection requirements before selection.
