Designed as a dedicated supply for a 40A EV chargepoint, the FuseBox EV40B combines a 63A 30mA Type B RCD with a 40A MCB in a powder coated steel enclosure.
A separate EV supply unit keeps the chargepoint circuit independent of the house consumer unit, which simplifies installation where the existing board has no spare ways or no suitable protection. The Type B RCD detects smooth DC residual currents, so this unit suits chargers that do not include built in 6mA DC fault detection. Always check the charger manufacturer's protection requirements before selection.
