Three Operating Modes for Maximum Installation Flexibility

The EXP-2R-MULTI is designed to adapt to different system requirements, offering three configurable modes.

Hybrid Expander Mode

When used in Hybrid Expander mode, the device communicates with a compatible Scantronic control panel or radio expander using a secure radio link.

This allows installers to extend wireless device coverage in larger buildings or areas where wired connections may be difficult.

Standalone Receiver Mode

In Standalone Receiver mode, the EXP-2R-MULTI can learn and operate with up to 10 wireless detectors or hold-up devices.

When a device is triggered, the transceiver can:

• Activate relay outputs
• Trigger connected equipment
• Operate the internal sounder (if enabled)

This makes the device suitable for independent security or automation applications.

Paired Transceiver Mode

Two EXP-2R-MULTI units can be paired together to create a wireless link between wired inputs and outputs.
