The BG Nexus 820-01 is a dual voltage shaver socket offering both 115V and 240V outputs, so UK and many overseas shavers and electric toothbrushes can be used from the same plate. It is rated at 20VA and made to BS EN 61558 and BS 4573, in white round edge moulding to match the Nexus 800 Series. The low rating means it is intended for shaving and grooming appliances only, not for hair dryers or other heating loads.
Allow for a deeper back box: the minimum is 47mm, at 120.6mm fixing centres. Terminals are colour coded with backed out captive screws. Fitting out a bathroom or en suite? The BG Nexus white moulded collection has matching switches and spurs, and our white plastic switches range covers other brands.
