The BG Nexus 822UWR-01 hides an N300 Wi-Fi range extender inside a double switched socket. It repeats a 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n network at up to 300Mbps, helping to fill weak spots in rooms far from the router, and adds a 5V 2.1A USB port for charging. Because it replaces an existing double socket, nothing plugs in and both 13A sockets stay free.
Set up is by WPS button or through a web browser, and the extender supports WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK and mixed security. It needs an 802.11b/g/n router broadcasting on 2.4GHz. The sockets are single pole switched with outboard rockers, and it fits a 25mm back box. For straightforward charging without Wi-Fi, see our USB sockets, or browse the BG Nexus white moulded range.
