The BG Nexus 828-01 is a 2A unswitched round pin socket to BS 546. Fed from a lighting circuit, it lets table and floor lamps fitted with 2A round pin plugs switch on and off with the room's wall switch, a popular choice in living rooms, bedrooms and hotels. It is also widely used in period properties and hotel refurbishments where lamps are the main light source.
The round pin plug also stops 13A appliances being plugged into a lighting circuit by mistake. It sits on a 25mm single back box at 60.3mm centres and matches the white round edge finish of the Nexus 800 Series. For higher loads, the 5A round pin version is available, and the BG Nexus moulded collection has matching light switches.
