The BG 940-0J dual voltage shaver socket offers 115V and 240V outputs, so UK and many overseas shavers and electric toothbrushes can be used from one plate. Rated at 20VA, it is intended for shaving and grooming appliances only, not hair dryers or heating loads.
Like the rest of the 900 Series, the plate has sharp square edges in white thermoset urea. Made to BS EN 61558 and BS 4573, it needs a back box of at least 47mm depth at 120.6mm fixing centres. Install in line with BS 7671 for the location. Matching switches and spurs are in our white plastic switches and sockets.
