The BG 928-0J is a 2A unswitched round pin socket to BS 546, from the square edge 900 Series. Wired to a lighting circuit, it lets lamps fitted with 2A round pin plugs switch on with the room's wall switch, a favourite in living rooms, bedrooms and hotels.
The round pin format also stops 13A appliances being plugged into a lighting circuit. Square edges set the 900 Series apart from BG's rounded 800 Series, and this plate follows suit. It fits a 25mm single back box at 60.3mm centres. For higher loads, the 5A version 929-0J is available. 2A round pin sockets are common in period homes and hotel rooms.
