Click Mode Part M1 Switches & Sockets form Part M1 of the Building Regulations refers to the ‘Access and Use’ of a building and its facilities. Part of the requirements of Part M1 is to aid disabled people within their surroundings, being able to activate a light, socket or control within arms length, for the visually impaired being able to identify the units’ position against its surrounding décor, and for the infirm a suitable pull-cord switch to raise the alarm in the event of an emergency.
