The BG Nexus 872-01 is a 45A double pole cooker switch mounted on a large rectangular plate, with an LED power indicator and a red rocker. The bigger plate and red rocker make the cooker isolator easy to spot above the worktop, which helps in an emergency and when servicing the appliance. Fit it within easy reach of the cooker but not directly above the hob.
Unlike the 870-01 it has no socket, leaving the plate dedicated to cooker isolation. It is made to BS EN 60669-1, needs a 47mm minimum depth back box to allow for heavy cooker cable, and has twin earth terminals and angled colour coded terminals with captive screws.
