All measuring equipment needs to be calibrated to ensure an accurate and repeatable result and the tools used in PAT and Electrical Installation Testing are no exception. The IEE PAT Testing Code of Practice states that you should have your equipment calibrated at least once every 12 months, with regular self-check intervals in between. It’s also advised that the calibration of any faulty tester be rechecked after repairs.
