British Gas has introduced a new tariff in partnership with Dimplex Quantum. This tariff is aimed at those who utilise the Dimplex Quantum electric storage heaters which offer effective and efficient ways of heating your property. The smart tariff creates a new approach to the way we consume energy and allows for a number of different benefits to property owners around the UK.

While we've seen tariffs that help to reduce your cost during the off-peak hours before, this is an innovative scheme that helps to create a cost-effective way of heating your property.

British Gas uses the Dimplex Quantum product range and its ability to charge during off-peak hours. These off-peak hours refer to any time of the day or night when the electricity costs are at their lowest. 

Electric storage heaters work by heating ceramic or clay brinks within the unit at a given time in order to store that heating internally. The heat is then saved within the heater until it's time to release it into the rest of the property. 

As a user on this tariff, you'll benefit from the nightly rate of 9.9p per kWh during the hours of 12.30 - 7.30 am each day which means that you're likely to save a substantial amount of your energy bills when compared to a number of alternatives.

What's more, the tariff will also be powered by 100% renewable electricity which means that you'll be part of a greener initiative. 

How the tariff works to save you money

Each one of the Dimplex Quantum range is compatible with the Dimplex Control Hub. This hub will allow you to control your electric storage heater using a WiFi connection so that you can control and monitor your Dimplex device whenever you like without having to be in the room.

The hub also allows for your Dimplex Storage heater to connect to British Gas using a cloud-based data connection which will interpret the usage and stability of the grid. Once you've connected everything you'll benefit from reduced night-time so that your Quantum heater can operate at optimal levels while saving you money.
