Rated at 5A, the BG 929-0J unswitched round pin socket to BS 546 takes a larger plug than the 2A version. It is used on dedicated lighting and equipment circuits in hotels, theatres, studios and older installations where 5A round pin connections are specified.
Moulded in white thermoset urea, the plate has the flat, square edged profile of the 900 Series. With no switch on the plate, control comes from the circuit or a separate switch. It fits a 25mm single back box at 60.3mm fixing centres. For lamp circuits with smaller plugs, the BG 928-0J 2A socket is the usual choice. See our white plastic switches and sockets.
