The Soudal Trade Expanding Foam B2 Genius 600ml is a professional one-component, moisture-curing expanding polyurethane foam designed for fire-rated gap filling, sealing and insulation in building and construction applications.

Featuring a DIN 4102 B2 fire classification and fire resistance of up to 2 hours depending on the joint configuration, it is suitable for use within appropriate passive fire-protection systems, including around fire-retardant window and door frames, penetration seals, expansion joints and connection joints.

B2 Fire-Rated Expanding Foam

The key distinction of Trade Expanding Foam B2 Genius is its specified fire performance. Soudal gives the foam a B2 classification according to DIN 4102, with fire resistance up to two hours depending on the joint configuration, tested to EN 1366-4.

Designed for Passive Fire Protection

Soudal specifically recommends the B2 Genius foam for use as a large gap filler in passive fire-protection systems.

How to Apply

Shake the aerosol for at least 30 seconds before application. Open the cap and unfold the Genius Gun® tube into its operating position. The can should be held upside down while dispensing.

Soudal recommends partially filling the gap to allow room for expansion and shaking the can regularly during use. Slightly moistening suitable surfaces can promote faster curing and improve the cellular structure. When applying the foam in layers, repeat the moistening process between layers.

For storage after partial use, reseal the nozzle, close the cap and store the can upright according to Soudal's instructions.
