Portable heaters are perfect for added warmth, emergency heating or if you need to take something portable around with you for work.
Get heat fast with a portable heater
When choosing a portable heater, you will need to consider the size of room you’re going to use it in before you select the wattage. The higher the wattage, the more heat output you will get.
Portable heaters come in a variety of forms including oil-filled, convector or fan heaters. So, how do they differ?
Oil-filled heaters
Oil-filled heaters use an electrical current within thermal oil, which then heats the oil and circulates it around the heater. It works in a similar way to water in a radiator and is very affordable to run.
Convector heaters
Convector heaters have an internal heating element that produces heat to radiate throughout a room. It does this by waiting for the hot air to rise and be replaced by cool air, meaning they distribute the air evenly and thoroughly.
Fan heaters
Fan heaters are quick to warm up and produce heat using an electric coil, before blowing the warmth throughout the room with the fan. They do produce some noise, but they are light and easy to carry around.
